Painting is like traveling through a dream. Spoken language baffles me, so I became a visual person, scribbling on anything I could get my hands on as a child. I think and dream in pictures. Ideally, my images communicate my “truth” and reveal something new about the world around me. For me, the best part of the creative process is finding my way through the unknown. It is a journey. Once I discover the portal, the entry point, I retreat to my studio with my pencils, pens, paints, and brushes, and the dreaming starts. I never know when or where I will arrive.
